Being a happy Harmony Remote user for a couple of years now (in case you don’t know, they are the coolest line of universal remote controls on the planet), my only complaint has been the lack of bluetooth/Playstation 3 support.
Instead of having the Lord of the Remotes, One Remote To Rule Them All, I’ve had to have the employ an Undersecretary of the Lord of the Remotes to handle my blu-ray watching needs… the Sony Bluetooth Remote.
That means two remotes, where one would be nice.
Logitech just unleashed a handy dongle that takes the infrared signal from your Harmony and converts it to a bluetooth signal that can be used by your PS3. Plug the dongle into the wall (it thankfully doesn’t use a USB port), synch the device so your PS3 recognizes it in the future, update the software on your remote… and voila!
You’ll have a remote that hobbits will try to throw in a volcano.
