Game Review: Rock Band 3

It’s hard enough to find a game sequel that is dramatically better than the original, and even more difficult to find a third installment that’s even better.

Maybe that’s why I was prepared for disappointment with Rock Band 3.

Hopeful? Yes, but I was also ready to be let down.

Fortunately, in all the ways that matter, Rock Band 3 is better than it’s predecessors, and if you’ll pardon the pun (if you play the game, you’ll understand) it delivers in Spades.

Game Review – Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

Jumping, wall running, jumping some more, hanging off cliffs, swinging, dodging swinging axes, rolling under spinning blades, and scaling walls of various surface types, yes this is a Prince of Persia game. I have been told that this game follows the new movie but as I have yet to see the movie I cannot confirm this wild rumor. Hardware Review: Samsung Captivate

Samsung CaptivateRecently I made the decision to break up with Apple as far as what device I would use for my personal mobile phone (Sorry Steve, it’s you not me). I decided to try out an Android based device and with my contract still being with AT&T, the only Android phone worth checking out was the Samsung Captivate.

The Samsung Captivate is part of the Galaxy S line of phones finally available in the US. Each carrier is getting  a version with minor hardware differences but fundamentally the same phone. Getting used to the Android OS was a major adjustment, not because it was hard, but because iOS is so simple in comparison. You pretty much have to switch your thinking to “what CAN’T I do to customize it?”
