E3 First look: God Of War III

I got to sit down and play the entire God Of War III demo today and all I can say is WOW.  For back ground information on me and God Of War games is, well in short, I don’t like them.  So sitting in the press part of Sony’s booth I saw a empty system running this game so I figured I would give it a try.

So graphically this is beautiful even in it’s early build that I was playing.  Not to give away to much you have two weapons (in the demo) possibly more in the actual game.  You swap between them with the D-pad and each one is better in different situations.

As soon as I have a nice enough internet connection I will get the video footage I have for it so keep checking back.

As the long awaited sequel of EA’s boxing Juggernaut nears, I  was able to spend a little time with the demo. Has EA made improvements in this installment or is it simply a new box and some minor tweaks? Check out my first impressions on the other side….

First Look: Halo Wars

Right now, there is most likely one of two thoughts going through your head:

1. Its a Halo game, I don’t care if it is good or not I am getting it.
2. Its an RTS, they don’t work on consoles.

First Look: Killzone 2

Regardless of the demo snafu involving Gamestop, we managed to get a look at the demo.

How To Get The Killzone 2 Demo In The U.S. (No Gamestop Involved)

Contrary to earlier reports, the Killzone 2 demo did NOT drop in the U.S…. unless you preordered at Gamestop.

The UK DID get the demo, however, and you can too.

Here’s how it’s done:

1. Create a new user on your PS3.
2. Create a new PSN account.
3. During the sign up process, use United Kingdom as your country of origin.
4. Make up a fictitious address… say… somewhere in London.
5. Go to the Playstation Store, and enjoy your download of the Killzone 2 demo.

Halo Wars Demo

Apparently the demo for Halo Wars will be available on Febuary 5th. Wait, isn’t that the same day as the KillZone 2 demo?

Well that’s interesting, I wonder if it was Sony or Microsoft that decided to overlap that day for a demo?

Either way I will grab both. Check back on the 5th for a first look at Halo Wars.

Announced via the ‘semi-official’ Playstation blog ThreeSpeech, Sony and Guerrilla have decided to bump up the demo release by a few weeks.

Excellent! Seeing how a demo is supposed to entice people to BUY YOUR GAME, it’s probably a good idea to get people exposed to it… like… right now!

Lots of good downloadable stuff on it’s way this week… wonder how I’m doing with my bandwidth cap on Comcast?
